Chinese Citizens dissatisfied with China coming in sixth on the least cash used country ranking
Based on a recent survey by Forex Bonuses (a world recognized marketing research company) China came in sixth place. This stat has confused a vast number of Chinese citizens who were certain China would come in at a way higher position, for a good reason too; The increase usage of Wechat and Alipay services, makes it nearly completely unnecessary for Chinese people to carry any amount of cash on them.
Forex explained that the ranking based a lot on the number of credit cards owned per capita, along with their usage rate and online transactions. Canada therefore leads the race with an average of 2+ credit cards owned per citizen, followed by Sweden and Great Britain. China having less than 1 credit card owned per citizen comes in way down on the list in this category.
“Who uses credit cards on this day and age?” says the Chinese public.
