The term “Blind date” in China often means an arranged marriage rather than a date set up between two strangers. Parents bringing signs with the background information of their child in an effort to help them find the other half.
Once a suitable match appears the parents would then agree to exchange contact information for a possible set up between their children.
The majority being females between the ages of 25 to 35 years of age, with worried parents taking their matter into their own hands.
